Autism Awareness Thailand
Published by onAutism Awareness Thailand(AAT) is a group of young professionals and students who seeks to bring Autism awareness to the forefront. We aim to raise autism awareness among parents, teachers, peers, pediatricians, and all members of our society. Through conferences, workshops, and outreach activities, we hope to ultimately increase the level of early detection, expand the quality of classroom atmosphere for children with autism, and desensitize our society to this developmental disorder.
AAT believes that the act of making a difference is a lot more powerful when it creates a positive, meaningful experience to the people involved. For this reason, each AAT project is designed to be entertaining and interactive, so that, at the end of the day, our participants and volunteers can leave with a smile on their face, good memories in their heart, new knowledge in their pocket, and genuine friendship to keep.
Autism Awareness Thailand was first launched in August 2009 by Dr. Kwan Hansongkitpong, a Clinical Psychologist, who is a native of Thailand. Dr. Kwan received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and a Master's degree in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
